This weeks Indy Global Reports was recorded in the village of Marda, in the middle of the West Bank International activists and environmentalists from across the world, Palestine and Israel came together to join a workshop which was originally to be led by Star Hawk, author and activist. Star Hawk was denied entry to Israel and deported from Ben-Gurion airport last week. Local activists put out an emergency call for workshop leaders, and the course was able to take place. Palestinian man critically wounded as he was attacked by loose pigs from a nearby Israeli settlement
Pigs that belong to settlers from the Israeli settlement of Areil near Salfit in the West Bank attacked a Palestinian elderly man and critically injured him. The man is still receiving medical treatment in the hospital for the past 10 days. read full story / add a comment

Troops searched and ransacked homes, assaulting a number of students on their way to school in the process.

Israeli forces abducted one Palestinian civilian during a morning invasion of Kufer Al Diek village near the northern West Bank city of Salfit on Thursday. Israeli forces invaded the village of Qarawit Bani Hassan, west of Salfit city in the northern part of the West Bank, and searched several houses on Monday morning. Troops ransacked families' belongings and forced the families out of their homes during the search; eyewitnesses reported that soldiers fired sound bombs and live rounds into the searched houses.
