Update: Around 6 pm, another Palestinian was shot and killed by Israeli forces, this time in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. He has been identified as: Essam Ibrahim Abu Shab 42. This brings the total so far Sunday to 10 Palestinians killed - in what was claimed to be a period of 'ceasefire' until Monday, when Israel says that full-scale bombing will resume. Full Story

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) has published a report detailing the search for bodies in the brief ceasefire that took place over the weekend, but also condemned Israeli targeting of medical crews that continued even while the ceasefire was in place. Full Story

Two Palestinian youth were reportedly assaulted by a Jewish mob in Jerusalem, on Friday evening, according to Haaretz. Israeli forces vandalized the premises of public institutions, Saturday, in Al-Bireh. Full Story

Dozens of Palestinians were shot and injured, Saturday, across the West Bank region, with at least two reported dead, including one child who died of critical injuries suffered earlier in the day, during clashes which occured near Bethlehem. Present as well was Counselor to the President, John Podestam, during a discussion which took place this morning, over the ongoing plight of Christians in the Holy Land and, specifically, in the context of the ongoing war crimes being committed, by Israel, on Gaza. Naim Abdul Aziz Abu Zaher, 36, was shot to death by Israeli forces east of Deir al-Balah around 9 pm Saturday, two hours before the ‘temporary ceasefire’ was scheduled to end. Two other Palestinians died of their wounds early Sunday morning. Full Story

The alleged kidnapping and murder of three Israeli settlers, in late June, was the oft-cited reason for Israel’s escalation against the Hamas government in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip. But new evidence indicates that Hamas was not responsible at all for the murders, according to reporters who spoke with Israeli police. Full Story

During the brief halt in Israeli bombardment on Saturday, Palestinian residents and medics have managed to retrieve the bodies of 135 Palestinians, mainly in Shuja’eyya, whose deaths had previously gone unreported because their whereabouts were unknown. Around 7 pm, Israeli officials announced that they would hold off on the resumption of bombardment of Gaza until 11 pm. Full Story

Despite being attacked by the army, medics and rescue teams managed to locate the remains of 85 Palestinians, mainly women and children, buried under rubble of homes and buildings previously bombarded and leveled to the ground by Israeli missiles and shells, in different parts of the Gaza Strip. As in the two previous ‘temporary truces’ since the Israeli assault on Gaza began July 8th, Israeli forces stepped up their attacks on Palestinian civilians in the hours leading up to the time of the scheduled ceasefire. On Saturday morning, as the 7 am ‘temporary ceasefire’ start time was approaching, an Israeli airstrike hit a three-story home housing a number of families who had fled from their homes destroyed in Khuza’a, on Thursday.
