Four Palestinians killed in the West Bank in 10 days.
On Sunday morning, 22 June 2014, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian civilian from ‘Ein Beit al-Maa’, northwest of Nablus in the northern West Bank, after firing several bullets at him from a close range when he was on his way to a mosque near his house for dawn prayers, because he did not obey their orders to stop. read full story / add a comment
The Knesset's Internal Affairs Committee has ended its 2-day discussion of a controversial bill recently introduced to facilitate forced feeding of Palestinian hunger strikers. On Monday, 01 June 2014, Hamdi Shaqqura, Deputy Director for the Programs Affairs of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR), gave his testimony before the UN Special Committee to Investigate the Israeli Practices Affecting the Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs in the 1967 Occupied Territories. Shaqqura gave his testimony via Skype as a result of preventing the Committee members from enter the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt), in addition to the Israeli closure imposed on the Gaza Strip. The Israeli authorities refuse to officially receive the Committee and deny it access to the oPt.
