Israeli warships opened fire, Thursday morning, at Palestinian fishermen off the Gaza sea.

Witnesses said that the warships fired at boats off al-Sodaniyya shore, north of Gaza, although the fishermen were within the 3-mile fishing distance, according to Al Ray. No injuries were reported.

Israel has controlled Gaza waters since its occupation of the area in 1967, and has kept several warships stationed off the coast since 2008.

Although the Israeli occupation limited the fishing distance in Gaza Sea to 6 nautical miles, they neither complied with that distance nor allowed Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip to sail and fish freely, and continue their attacks against them.
