author Friday March 14, 2014 17:26author by Chris Carlson - 1 of International Middle East Media Center Editorial Group Report post

Israeli occupation forces, on Friday, prevented Palestinian men under the age of 40 from entering the al-Aqsa Mosque to observe the Friday prayer.

Israeli police had distributed a statement, earlier, announcing that men who are less than 40 years old would be banned from entering the mosque, the PNN reports.

Israeli authorities deployed its troops in various cities of Jerusalem, especially in the Old City, and in the vicinity of al-Aqsa Mosque and its main entrances.

Thousands of Palestinians from al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the lands occupied in 1948 ('48 territories) performed the Friday Prayers in the streets and roads nearby the mosque, after they were prohibited from entering.
