After being held overnight in Ashkelon Prison, Israeli peace activist Jeff Halper was released Wednesday. While the 44 international activists on the two 'Free Gaza' boats were allowed by the Israeli military occupation to enter the Gaza Strip with humanitarian supplies, Halper, an Israeli citizen born in the US, was the only one detained. John Ging, UNRWA’s Director of Operations in Gaza announced that the association will grant nearly 20.0000 NIS (nearly $ 6M) to the students of UNRWA schools in the Gaza Strip in order to help them in buying stationary and supplies needed to start the new school year, the Palestinian Infromation Center reported. The Free Gaza boats will be departing the Gaza Strip on Thursday morning at 9 A.M carrying 12-14 Palestinians who were denied exit visas by the Israeli Authorities , others are students with valid visas or dual citizenships and were accepted un universities in Europe.
