Israeli intelligence teams, along with groups of extremist colonial settlers, Tuesday morning, have renewed raids on Al Aqsa Mosque, entering from the Mughrabi gate. The groups were heavily guarded by private units of the Israeli police throughout today’s provocative tour.

Security sources said, according to the PNN, that the Israeli intelligence uits have been going on regular trips in mosque facilities and yards, in order to obtain complete knowledge of the activities of Aqsa guardians (Murabiteen) and worshipers.

For their part, the worshipers have protested the raids by shouting slogans against the intrusions into the third holiest place in the religion of Islam.

Such violations have been going on almost daily by extremist groups, who are protected and rewarded by Israeli politicians and leaders.

The raids often involve verbal, or non-verbal clashes with Palestinian and, sometimes, violent confrontations.

Israeli police forces prevent Muslims from entering the mosque for prayers, and often detain their ID cards after setting iron checkpoints around the mosque to ease the settlers entrance to the mosque.

Attacks by extremist Israeli settlers, on both Christian and Muslim holy sites, are common throughout the Levant.
