Thousands of Palestinians and officials joined family members in the funeral of Palestinian Minister Ziad Abu Ein in Ramallah on Thursday midday. Abu Ein was killed on Wednesday when Israeli soldiers attacked and beat him up as he was taking part in an olive tree planting event in a village near Ramallah.

The funeral started from the Ramallah city hospital then to the presidential compound were Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinians officials took part of the funeral then Abu Ein body was laid to rest in a nearby graveyard. Abu Ein was the minister of the separation wall and settlements affairs in the Palestinian government.

After the funeral clashes erupted in different areas of Ramallah city. Soldiers attacked protesters with tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets. Scores were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.

Elsewhere, scores of children, and teachers, suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, in southern Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, during clashes that took place after the soldiers harassed them while heading to school.

The sources said that the soldiers fired dozens of gas bombs into the Hebron Elementary School, Khadija Bin al-Waleed School and the Ibrahimi School, causing scores of students to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In related news, several Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, after Israeli military jeeps invaded Fahma village, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and clashed with local youths. Soldiers also invaded several villages and towns in the district.

Moreover, Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Thursday morning, eleven Palestinians, including two children, from different parts of the West Bank, including five in occupied East Jerusalem.

Local sources said scores of soldiers invaded Ras al-‘Amoud and ath-Thoury neighborhoods in Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, broke into several homes and ransacked them, before kidnapping five Palestinians.

In addition, soldiers stationed at the Container roadblock, southeast of occupied East Jerusalem, stopped and searched dozens of cars, and kidnapped three Palestinians.

In Hebron city, Israeli soldiers kidnapped two children, and held them for several hours, in the center of the city, before the Palestinian District Coordination Office (DCO), in Hebron, managed to secure their release.
