The Ahrar Center for Detainees’ Studies and Human Rights strongly denounced the abduction of several political Hamas leaders in the occupied West Bank, as Israel’s war on the Palestinians in Gaza escalates.Fuad al-Khoffash, head of the Ahrar Center, stated the soldiers kidnapped Dr. Ghassan Thouqan, a lecturer at the Najah University in Nablus and a former political prisoner who spent years in Israeli prisons.

He added that Nazeeh Abu ‘Oun, another leader of Hamas was also kidnapped from his home in Jaba’ town, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin. Abu ‘Oun previously spent 16 years in Israeli prisons.

The army also kidnapped former political prisoner, senior Hamas political leader, Wael Hashshash, who also spent many years in Israeli prisons.

In addition, soldiers invaded Kobar town, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and kidnapped former prisoner, Ibrahim al-‘Abed, while Wajdy Marwan Ataya was kidnapped in Kufur Ni’ma town, near Ramallah.

Also a former political prisoner, Rashid Dweikat was kidnapped in Beita town, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Residents Saher Sabah and Omar Sabah have been kidnapped in Teqoua’ town, east of Bethlehem.

Al-Khoffash denounced the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, and its escalating war on Gaza that led to the death of 24 Palestinians, including seven children, on Tuesday, while hundreds have been injured. Among the slain Palestinians are children and their families.

He added this war, and aggression, is taking place in the Gaza Strip, while the army continues to assault the Palestinians, and their property, in the occupied West Bank, amidst serious crimes carried out by fanatic Israeli settlers.
