In related news, Gassan Daghlas, an activist who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, warned on Wednesday that Israeli settlers are planning to organize armed patrols on bypass roads and the surrounding hilltops in the West Bank.

He said that these patrols could have serious impacts on the ground as settlers have recently declared their intentions to organize armed patrols on the bypass roads, starting with part of Highway 60 to the west of Nablus.

He added that such precedent proves that β€œthe government of settlements govern the Israeli government and not vice versa.”
