[Tuesday Evening, February 11, 2014] Several Palestinians have been injured after dozens of soldiers attacked a funeral procession of a Palestinian in Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank district of Hebron. A two-year-old child is among the injured.Mohammad Awad, spokesperson of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Ummar, stated that one of the wounded, Ahmad Mohammad Awad, 16, suffered a moderate injury after being shot by a rubber-coated metal bullets in his forehead.

He was moved to the Hebron Governmental Hospital for treatment; his condition was described as moderate but stable.

Two more Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated metal bullets in their legs, and received treatment by local medics at the scene.

Furthermore, a gas bomb fired by the soldiers detonated in a local home, causing the entire family, including a two-year-old child, to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

Soldiers also stopped a Palestinian car, forced resident Mohammad Khalil Sabarna, 30, out of the vehicle and kidnapped him before moving him to an unknown destination.

Awad said that clashes only took place after the soldiers conducted provocative acts during the funeral ceremony of a resident identified as Yasser al-Khatib, especially when the soldiers tried to kidnap a 12-year-old child.

Soldiers then threw gas bombs and concussion grenades at the Palestinians, who had to stop the funeral procession.

Clashes also spread to Aseeda area, in Beit Ummar, where the soldiers fired concussion grenades, and gas bombs.
