[Friday, January 24, 2014] Israeli soldiers invaded Palestinian communities in Bethlehem and Hebron, in the occupied West Bank, broke into homes and searched them, kidnapping two Palestinians.Local sources have reported that several Israeli military jeeps invaded Batteer town, west of the West bank city of Bethlehem, and kidnapped one Palestinian.

The sources said that the soldiers kidnapped Mohammad Hani Qattoush, 22, after violently breaking into his home and searching it, causing property damage.

Furthermore, dozens of soldiers invaded Beit Ummar town, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and kidnapped Ahmad Ali Awad, 22, after assaulting him.

Awad, a former political prisoner, was moved to the Etzion military and security base for interrogation.

In related news, Palestinian medical sources said that several Palestinian villagers have been wounded after a number of fanatic Israeli settlers attacked them in Um Al-Kheir village, east of Yatta, south of the Hebron district.

Eyewitnesses stated that the settlers came from the Karmiel illegal settlement; two of the wounded Palestinians have been identified as Maleeha Hathaleen, 57, and Bilal Hathaleen, 27.

On Thursday evening, several Palestinians were wounded by Israeli rubber-coated metal bullets, while dozens suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, after several Israeli military jeeps invaded the Zahrat Al-Mada’en Girls Schools area, in Beit Ummar.

[Friday, January 24, 2014] Furthermore, on Thursday, Israeli troops arrested eight Palestinians in Hebron and Bethlehem, according to the Palestinian News Network.

The soldiers stormed the homes of the Palestinians and conducted the arrests.

In related news, Israeli bulldozers destroyed hundreds of trees in an area near the Qana valley, Petra News reports.

The head of Deir Estia municipality stated that Israeli soldiers were protecting the bulldozers, while they were destroying the trees.
