[Monday Morning, January 13, 2014] A number of nonviolent Palestinian activists closed the entrance of the Eliezer illegal Israeli settlement, one of the settlements of the Gush Etzion settlement bloc, in the Bethlehem district of occupied Palestine.Mohammad Breijiyya, coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements, stated that approximately 35 Palestinians, accompanied by international activists, closed the entrance of the settlement, causing a traffic jam before the army arrived at the scene.

Breijiyya added that the soldiers attacked and kidnapped several protesters, and that this activity comes to affirm the Palestinian rejection to Israel’s illegal settlements in occupied Palestine.

He further stated that similar activities will be held to protest Israel’s illegal annexation of Palestinian lands for its illegitimate settlement activities.

Furthermore, soldiers kidnapped three nonviolent activists as they were heading to Palestinian lands near the settlement, to plant olive trees, the Ma’an News Agency has reported.

The three have been identified as Monther Amira, Mazen Al-‘Azza and Sary Al-‘Azza.
