[Wednesday January 8, 2014] Palestinian sources have reported that a number of Israeli settlers infiltrated Madama village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, attacked Palestinian property and burnt two cars. The sources said that the settlers burnt the two local vehicles and proceeded to write racist graffiti against the Arabs and Palestinians.

The army kidnapped several Palestinians during clashes that took place between Israel settlers and Palestinians in Qaryout and Qusra villages, near Nablus.

In related news, a number of settlers cut several Palestinian olive trees located in orchards between Shoufa and Kafa village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

On Tuesday, Palestinian residents of Qusra village managed to capture eleven Israeli settlers who invaded the village to carry out attacks against the Palestinians and their property.

The incident took place hours after settlers clashed with local Palestinians in Qusra, after the Israeli army removed their Esh Kodeh illegal settlement outpost.

The settlers invaded the village and assaulted a boy, inflicting head injuries; local youth then rushed to defend the child, stopped the settlers and detained them in an under construction building.

Israel admitted that Palestinian activists provided protection to the assaulting settlers, and contacted the Palestinian security forces.

Israel soldiers then arrived at the scene and removed the settlers; some of them were mildly wounded before they were captured.

Israeli Ynetnews quoted Zacharia Sadah of Rabbis for Human Rights, stating that he and some of his colleagues managed to stop the settlers and the Palestinians from causing harm to each other.

Sadah said that Israeli soldiers then took the settlers and removed them from the village.

They then invaded the village and clashed with local Palestinians, while another group of settlers invaded Jaloud nearby village, where similar clashes occurred.
