[December 5, 2013] Dozens of soldiers invaded various areas in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, broke into and violently searched dozens of homes, kidnapping eight Palestinians.Local sources said that dozens of soldiers invaded the Deheisha refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, and kidnapped five Palestinians, including a father and his son.

The five have been identified as Moath Nassar, 19, Bashir Abed Rabbo, 25, Eyad Mahmoud Manasra, 25, Anas Mohammad Sharif, 16, and his father Mohammad, 50. The early dawn invasion lasted until 6 in the morning, when the soldiers left the camp, taking the kidnapped Palestinians to the Gush Etzion military base for interrogation.

Furthermore, dozens of soldiers invaded Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, and kidnapped three Palestinians identified as Anwar Ali Taqatqa, 28, Moneer Yassin Taqatqa, 20, and Ahmad Sami Taqatqa, 17.

On Wednesday evening, soldiers based at the Huwwara roadblock, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, stopped a bus transporting Palestinian journalists and journalism students, and detained 30.

The journalists were touring the Jiftlick in the West Bank’s Northern Plains. Soldiers searched the journalists and insulted them, but released them a few hours later.

The Palestinian Ministry of Information denounced the Israeli attack, and said that Israel will never be able to silence the reporters who expose its daily crimes and assaults against the Palestinian people.
