Late Thursday night at around midnight, June 6 2013, Palestinian medical sources have reported that an infant suffocated after inhaling gas fired by Israeli soldiers invading Kufur Qaddoum, village, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia. The infant, Sana’ Eshtewy, 7 months, received treatment by medics of the Palestinian Red Crescent after the army fired dozens of gas bombs at homes in the village.

Media Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in the village, stated that dozens of soldiers invaded the village and fired rounds of live ammunition, flares, concussion grenades and gas bombs.

Soldiers also confiscated used car tires that village youths usually burn during clashes with the army.

The army removed pictures of Israeli soldiers photographed while attacking local protesters; the pictures had “Wanted” written on them.

Kufur Qaddoum, as well as many villages in the occupied West Bank, holds weekly protests, each Friday, against the illegal Israeli Annexation Wall and settlements; Israeli and international peace activists also join these protests.
