Friday evening March 9, 2013, Israeli soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian journalist at a roadblock south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus. A university student was also kidnapped at the roadblock west of Jenin. Several Palestinians injured after being attacked by the army in Jerusalem.Local sources reported that the army kidnapped Tareq Abu Zeid, a cameraman working for the Al-Aqsa TV, as he was trying to cross the Huwwara roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Abu Zeid was cuffed and blindfolded before being taken by the soldiers to the nearby Huwwara military base.

Also, the soldiers kidnapped Hareth Jalal Zayed, 22, a student of the Palestine Technical College, in Tulkarem, in the northern west of the West Bank.

Zayed was heading back home in the Al-Yamoun town, west of northern West Bank city of Jenin. He was stopped at the Ennab roadblock, near Anabta town, east of Tulkarem.

Zayed is a member of the Islamic Bloc at the Khaddoury University. Dozens of students of the college, especially members and supporters of the Islamic Bloc have been recently detained and imprisoned by the army.

In related news, five Palestinian youths have been injured, on Friday evening, during clashes that took place with Israeli soldiers in Bab Hatta area, in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestine News & Info Agency (WAFA) reported that the clashes lasted for about an hour leading to the injury of three Palestinians who were violently beaten the soldiers. Shrapnel of concussion grenades fired by the army injured two more Palestinians.

Four more Palestinians were mildly injured and received treatment by medics on the scene, and one Palestinian was moved to the Al-Maqassed Hospital in Jerusalem, after the soldiers beat him in the head with their batons.
