Wednesday January 23; Israeli soldiers invaded different parts of the occupied West Bank, broke into and searched several homes, and kidnapped six Palestinians, including two children, before taking them to a number of military interrogation centers. Soldiers also carried out a limited invasion into northern Gaza.The army invaded the Safa village, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, broke into and searched a number of homes, and kidnaped one resident.

The soldiers used an explosive charge to detonate the main door of Hasan Yasser Karaja’s house, and kidnapped him after confiscating three personal computers that belong to the family.

It is worth mentioning that Montaser, the youngest brother of Hasan, is a political prisoner who was kidnapped by the army a few months ago.

Furthermore, the army kidnapped two Palestinians at the Huwwara roadblock, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The Palestine News & Info Agency (WAFA) reported that the that the two kidnapped Palestinians have been identified as Zein Nidal Zein, and Mohammad Sha’ban Omar.

In Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, the army kidnapped, earlier on Wednesday at dawn, two Palestinian children after breaking into their families’ homes and searching them.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan, reported that the soldiers kidnapped the two children from their homes approximately at 4 at dawn.

The kidnapped children have been identified as Alaa’ Tawfiq Abu Tayeh, 14, and his cousin Majdi Wael Abu Tayeh, 14.

Soldiers also handed another child, identified as Monther Riyadh Al-Abbassy, 15, a warrant ordering him to head to a nearby police station for interrogation.

The Information Center said that the kidnapped children have been moved to the Al- Maskobiyya Police station in the city.

Two days ago, Israeli soldiers kidnapped an 8-year-old child, from Al-Isawiyya town, in occupied East Jerusalem, after claiming that he “hurled stones at their jeep”.

The soldiers chased the child, identified as Ali Dirbas, as he was heading back home from school, and grabbed him as he reached the main door of his family’s home.

Two young Palestinians tried to defend the child, and the army violently attacked them, and sprayed their faces with pepper-spray.

The army also attacked and pushed around several local women who gathered in an attempt to de-arrest the child as the police dragged him away. Soldiers also hurled several gas and concussion grenades at the residents, leading to a number of injuries.

In related news, the army invaded, earlier on Wednesday at dawn, the town of Al-Khader, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and drove around in its street; no arrests or clashes were reported.

Also in Bethlehem, the army invaded the Al-Azza refugee camp, and the Obeyyat area, and handed two residents military warrants ordering them to head to the Ezion military and security base, south of Bethlehem, for interrogation.

Palestinian sources reported that the army broke into the home of Ali Qaraqe’ in Al-Azza, and searched the property before handing his 19-year-old son, Al-Mo’taz, a warrant to head to Ezion for interrogation. A similar order was handed to resident Mohammad Al-Obeyyat 26, in Al-Obeyyat area in Bethlehem.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli soldiers conducted a limited invasion into Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the coastal region, and fired several rounds of live ammunition at random.

Armored military bulldozers uprooted Palestinian lands close to the border area; soldiers withdrew from the area later on, no clashes were reported.
