Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Thursday at night and on Friday at dawn, eight Palestinians in Al-Esawiyya town, in occupied East Jerusalem; the soldiers broke into several homes and violently searched them before kidnapping the eight residents. More than 100 residents have been detained in Al-Isawiyya in 22 days.The army kidnapped two brothers identified as Samer and Mohammad Issa Dirbas, in addition to two brothers identified as Sabri and Riyadh Mheisin, and Salah Abdul-Majeed Darweesh.

Member of the Follow-Up Committee in Al-Isawiyya, Mohammad Abu Al-Hommos, said that the army broke into the home of Dirbas family after smashing the front door, and attacked several family members before violently searching the property causing damage.

The kidnapped residents were then moved to an interrogation facility at the Abu Ghneim (Har Homa) illegal settlement.

Furthermore, the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan, in occupied Jerusalem, reported that the army kidnapped Mohamamd Jamal Abu Atiyya, 19, Ayman Awni Atiyya, 19, and Mohammad Zeidan.

Abu Al-Hommos said that Israel stepped-up its assaults against Al-Esawiyya starting 22 days ago, and kidnapped more than 100 residents, including one woman, and several youths and children.

The soldiers also broke into and searched dozens of homes.

In related news, a number of extremist Israeli settlers destroyed the ceramic of an ancient Islamic site in the old city.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the site was destroyed, adding that ‘this Islamic ceramic masterpiece was totally ruined”, and that the settlers are trying to bury and destroy the Arab and Islamic history of the city.
