The Zaman Turkish Newspaper reported that Erdogan also intends to meet Khaled Mashal, head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, who will also be heading to Gaza.

The Turkish PM had several plans to visit the coastal region but his plans were all delayed or cancelled, and his last planned visit was cancelled due to Israel’s recent war against Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the recent Israeli war on Gaza led to the death of 163 Palestinians, including 42 children, 11 women and 18 elderly.

The Ministry added that 1222 Palestinians have been injured during the war, dozens suffered serious injuries. 431 children, 207 women and 88 elderly were among the injured.
