Tunisian Foreign Minister, Rafik Abdul-Salaam, arrived in the Gaza Strip Saturday to express support and solidarity with the Palestinian people living under an ongoing Israeli war. The minister entered Gaza via the Rafah Border Terminal between Gaza and Egypt.The Minister and his delegation will be visiting the Ministerial Headquarters in Gaza that were bombarded earlier Saturday and leveled to the ground.

This visit comes amidst statements by the Tunisian president who strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli military aggression.

On Friday, Egypt’s Prime Minister, Hisham Qandil, visited the coastal region and met with Ismail Haniyya of the Hamas-led government in Gaza, and called on world leaders to end the Israeli military aggression against Gaza.

He affirmed his country’s stance in rejecting the aggression, and stated that his government will “do whatever it can to end this war”.

Qandeel also visited hospitals in Gaza, and met with dozens of wounded residents and bereaved families.

He said that the silence of the International Community must end, and that the entire world needs to act on ending the onslaught.

The ongoing Israeli military escalation against Gaza, starting on Wednesday evening, led to the death of at least 38 residents including 8 children, 3 women, and 4 elderly, while more than 280, including 101 children and 96 women have been injured; 88 of the wounded are in serious conditions.
