Resident Injured By Army Fire In Jerusalem

Palestinian medical sources in Israeli controlled East Jerusalem reported on Sunday that one youth from Al-Esawiyya town in the Jerusalem district, was shot and wounded by Israeli military fire during clashes that took place after the army invaded the town.

The medical sources reported that the soldiers invaded the town from its eastern entrance, firing dozens of gas bombs and concussion grenades. One youth was directly hit by a gas bomb in his head and was moved to a local hospital.

Al- Esawiyya is subject to frequent Israeli invasions, and more than 30 residents have been detained by Israeli soldiers in recent invasions.

In other news, settlers of the Maoun illegal outpost, near the southern West Bank city of Hebron, opened fire at a number of Palestinians crossing a road close to the illegal settlement; no injuries were reported.

Also, settlers of the Beit Hadassah illegal outpost, in the heart of Hebron city, attacked a Palestinian store causing damages. Israeli policemen arrived at the scene and removed the settlers.
