Cameraman Sentenced To 18 Months, 1300 USD

The Ofer Israeli Military Court sentenced on Thursday Palestinian cameraman, from Bil’in village near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, to eighteen months imprisonment and 1300 USD fine.

The Friends of Freedom and Justice Committee in Bil'in, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, reported that cameraman Hamza Suleiman Burnat, 19, was kidnapped by the army four months ago when he was photographing a nonviolent protest against the Wall and Settlements in Nabi Saleh village.

Burnat is in his final year at school as, two years ago, while he was in his graduation year, the army kidnapped him and imprisoned him for nine months.

He is a volunteer cameraman for the Media Center of the Friends of Freedom and Justice Committee.
