Israeli TV, Channel 2, reported Thursday that troops found at the border with Egypt, a 30 year-old weapons cache that belongs to the Israeli military.According to the TV station the weapons date back to the time of the Israeli-occupation of the Sinai peninsula 30 years ago.

The report explained that army bulldozers uncovered that stored missiles and tank shells while conducting construction work, part of the wall Israeli is building along the border with Egypt.

The army told Channel 2 that the weapons are out of date, and can’t be used since they were buried for more than 30 years.

According to the TV report, army engineers removed the weapons over the past five days, and disposed of them. Soldiers told Channel 2 that some of the tank shells were still usable.
