Ramallah Municipality Announces Hunger Strike In Solidarity With Prisoners

Staff of the Ramallah municipality undertook a hunger strike on Thursday in solidarity with the striking prisoners and detainees held in the prisons of he occupation, the Ma'an News Agency reported. ,

A statement from Ramallah municipality announced this action, and the Municipality Council of Ramallah cut short its meeting on Thursday to visit the hunger strikers at the Red Cross in Ramallah .

In Gaza, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad organized marches on Wednesday to support the prisoners, who have been on a hunger strike for nine days .
The Islamic Jihad's march took place from Abu Khadra mosque to the sit-in tent set up in front of the Red Cross to express solidarity with the prisoners.
