The source said, a number of military vehicles entered the city and opened fire in the air in the early hours of the morning.

Last night, a Palestinian security officer shot a single bullet as an Israeli military vehicle was passing near Tulkarem. However, a Palestinian security chief says the bullet was fired by mistake and no injuries were reported.

On his part, Talal Dweikat, Governor of Tulkarem told the Maan News Agency that the situation is calm and the Israeli military withdrew shortly, especially that the PA security officers evacuated the area after being informed by the Israeli district liaison office that the Israeli military is coming into the city.

Usually, as part of the security coordination, the Palestinian Police and security forces pull out from the streets when informed by the Israeli military that they are coming in.
