An Israeli court decided on Tuesday at night to extend the remand of two elected Palestinian legislators for additional six month under administrative detention, once again, without an indictment. Legislator Hatem Qfeisha, from the southern West Bank city of Hebron, was sent to the Ofer Israeli military court and received additional six months imprisonment.
Qfeisha was kidnapped by the army on October 18, 2010, and was placed under administrative detention for six months.

Instead of being released following the six months, the Ofer Court ordered him back under administrative detention for additional six months.

Furthermore, the court ordered a six-month administrative detention against lawmaker Omar Al Barghouthi from Kober village, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

Having been kidnapped and imprisoned several times, Barghouthi spent more than 22 years in Israeli prisons.

It is worth mentioning that a hearing will be held on April 14 to look into demands presented by the Israeli prosecution to place legislator Mohammad Bader under administrative detention likely for six months. Bader was kidnapped by the Israeli army two weeks ago.

There are 13 elected parliamentarians who are currently imprisoned by Israel.
