author Sunday March 27, 2011 17:27author by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Report post

Only a few hours after several resistance factions, including the Al Qassam Brigades of Hamas, declared that they are committed to a ceasefire should Israel halt its attacks, Israeli soldiers assassinated fighters in the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning, one resident was moderately wounded.

The attack was carried out after the Israeli Air Force fired a missile a missile at a vehicle driving on Al Sikka Road, in Jabalia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that the wounded resident was moved to Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia.

The two slain Palestinians were identified as Hashem Asaliyya, 23, from Jabalia, and Radwan Al Namrouty, 26, both from the Al Nusseirat, in central Gaza. The two are members of the Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad.

The Israeli Army killed 12 Palestinians and wounded at least 45 in a number of attacks carried out in the last ten days. Most of the casualties were children and women.

On Saturday evening, several Palestinian factions held a meeting that was initiated by the Hamas movement, and decided that they will be committed to a truce should Israel stop its assaults and violations against the Palestinian people.
