The Hamas movement denied a report said to be published by Haaretz Israeli newspaper claiming that Ayman Taha, one of Hamas’ political leaders, is involved in financial corruption and indecent acts. According to a Hamas statement, Haaretz reported that the movement suspended all of the activities of Taha several days ago after it became apparent that he was involved in indecent and immoral acts, and in financial corruption.

Hamas considered such reports as a “pathetic Zionist attempts to target the history of the movement, and its leadership”.

It also stated that such attempts will not deter the movement from exposing the crimes of the occupation and from continuing its resistance against it.

It demanded media outlets to refrain from publishing “such false reports manufactured by the Zionist entity”, according to statement.
