Truck drivers protested, Monday morning, at Karam Abu Salem crossing for the second day. This prevented the entry of goods to the strip.

Jihad Islaiem, spokesman for the protesters, stated that the protestors are not interested in closing the crossings, the source of import for goods into the Strip. He blames the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli occupation and he asks the President to reconsider current co-operation with the Israeli government.

Islaiem also stated that the sit in to close the import of goods will continue until the crossings are allowed to function for both the import and export of goods.
