Palestinian Man Injured by Israeli airstrike in Gaza

author Wednesday March 02, 2011 01:33author by Jeany Massad - IMEMC & Agencies Report post

A twenty two year old man was injured by an Israeli airstrike in the southern part of Gaza in Khan Younis, in the midst of an Israeli incursion in the area.

According to local sources, the man was injured near the Kisufim crossing Tuesday morning and was moved to a local hospital. Medical sources report that he sustained moderate wounds.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli planes targeted the Khaza'a gate with three shells when Palestinians on the ground confronted Israeli soldiers stationed at the border.

Israel has recently conducted similar air strikes targeting other locations in the Gaza Strip. The most recent one was on Sunday evening, when an Israeli airstrike in Eastern Gaza killed one Palestinian and wounded a number of others.
