Hundreds of residents of the town of Beit Ummar, near Hebron took to the streets in the funeral of 17-year-old Yousef Ikhlayyil who was shot dead by Israeli settlers on Friday.

Ikhlayyil was shot when over 150 settlers invaded the village of Safa near Hebron, and clashed with the local residents. Ikhlayyil was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition and was pronounced dead later in the hospital.

According to Mousa Abu Maria, resident of Beit Ummar, and member of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements, as protestors arrived at the grave-yard Israeli soldiers showered them with tear gas and rubber-coated-steel bullets, in an attempts to disperse the crowd.

Abu Maria added that at least 50 residents were wounded in the funeral and the clashes that followed it, however, their injuries were described as light and moderate.
