Israeli soldiers kidnapped, on Thursday at dawn, elected member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), from his home in Yatta town, in Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank. Soldiers broke into the home of PLC member Khalil Raba’ey, and kidnapped him after searching his home. Raba’ey is a member of the Change and Reform Parliamentary bloc of the Hamas movement.

Local sources reported that the army surrounded the home of Raba’ey and shattered the glass of a number of windows before breaking into the property.

He was released from an Israeli detention facility thirteen months ago after being imprisoned for forty months.

With the abduction of Raba’ey, the number of elected legislators currently imprisoned by Israel rises to eleven, including five from the Hamas movement.
