His family said that the army broke into their home having surrounded it, and kidnapped Qfeisha after ransacking his home.

Qfesiha was previously imprisoned under administrative detention without any charges for more than 18 months and was released in November 2009.

After being elected to the Legislative Council, Qfesiha was kidnapped three times. He has spent a total of 100 months in Israeli detention facilities before and after his election to the Council.

Several members of his family have been repeatedly arrested by the Palestinian Security forces. His brother, Sobhi, is currently at the Ofer Israeli detention center after he was kidnapped last month and sentenced to three months in administrative detention.
