A number of local residents informed the Egyptian security forces that they saw an object that looks like a missile.

Shortly afterwards, explosive experts and security officers rushed to the scene to find out that the object is a missile that likely dates back to the 1967 or the 1973 wars.

As the experts removed the missile to safely detonate it, they located an underground storage facility filled with explosives, especially TNT, and also located anti aircraft missiles.

The missile was detonated in a controlled explosion while the storage facility was seized and was placed under strict security measures.

An Egyptian security officer stated that an investigation into the issue was initiated and a number of local residents were interrogated.
