Israeli sources reported Sunday that a Jewish settler and his wife were wounded after Palestinian gunmen opened fire at their vehicle near a Jewish settlement, south of Hebron in the southern part of the West Bank. The sources described the injuries of the two settlers as mild; they were both moved to Soroka hospital in Be’er Shiva. The woman is pregnant in her ninth month.

Following the shooting, the army conducted military searches in an attempt to capture the shooters, and closed all entrances of Hebron and its nearby towns.

The Al Aqsa Brigades of Fateh movement and the Al Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
