Lieberman said that he will counter any move that would lead to obstructing the construction and expansion of Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In an interview with the Israeli Radio, Lieberman said that his party, Yisrael Beiteinu (Israeli Our Home) has enough power in the government to prevent any decision against settlement activities.

He stated that it is impossible to reach a comprehensive peace agreement with the Palestinians in the coming year.

Lieberman reiterated the Israeli demands that the Palestinian leadership must recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and added that Israel will not withdraw from Jerusalem and will not evacuate its settlements.
