As soon as the protesters reached the gate of the nearby Israeli settlements Israeli troops attacked them using tear gas and sound bombs.

The tear gas forced people back to the village a group of Israeli soldiers followed some protesters into a house at the entrance of the village and beat them up before arresting two local youth.

Witnesses told PNN that soldiers were very violent with the protesters, “they stormed the house front yard dragged people to the street and beat them up.”

Also on Friday the villagers of Al Ma’ssara, near Bethlehem, organized their weekly protest against the Israeli wall being built on their lands.

Palestinians joined by Israeli and international supporters marched after the midday prayers towards farmers’ lands Israel is planning to take over to fish the wall there.

Soldiers stopped the protesters at the village entrance and used tear gas and sound bombs to push them back into the village. a number of people suffered effects of tear gas inhalation and were treated locally.
