Soldiers Break Into Arab Hospital In East Jerusalem

Israeli soldiers and Border Policemen broke into the al-Makassed hospital in East Jerusalem in an attempt to arrest a wounded Palestinian but were forced out in a clash with local youths.

The patient in question was wounded during a clash with Israeli soldiers in East Jerusalem. The Army wanted to arrest him despite his injuries.

Israeli policemen, soldiers and under-cover forces raided the town of Silwan while settlers also entered the town and shot at the residents.

Most of the clashes were in Be’er Ayyoub area and al-Bustan neighborhood.

Soldiers and policemen fired live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets and gas canisters; several injuries were reported.
