The Hamas leader said that this violation is part of ongoing violations against Muslim and Christian holy sites in Palestine and as an act the targets the belonging of Arab and Muslim people to the holy sites.

He stated that the decision of the Israeli government to annex the two mosques and consider them as part of the Jewish Heritage Trail, and the violations in Jerusalem, require the Arab people and government to act against this “danger that targets the holy sites in occupied Palestine.”

Al-Rishiq called on the Palestinians and their factions to counter this decision using all available means and added that the Israeli violations place the whole area on top of an exploding volcano.

He said that protecting all Muslim and Holy sites is the responsibility of every Palestinian, and every free person in the world.

The Islamic leader demanding the Arab leaders to act against the Israeli aggression against the holy sites in Jerusalem and the West Bank, and added that Hamas is demanding the upcoming Arab Summit in Tripoli to place the effective means in order to protect holy sites in Palestine, mainly the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
