author Saturday February 20, 2010 18:02author by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Report post

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported Saturday morning that three residents were wounded when the Israeli Air Force bombarded an area close to the Kissufim Israeli military camp in southern Gaza.

Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reported that three residents were moved to Nasser Hospital.

The Maan News Agency reported that several armored vehicles fired a number of shells at homes and farmlands in the area before carrying a limited invasion.

Resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading forces 100 meters away from Kissufim.

On Thursday, Israeli soldiers demolished two homes in the central Gaza Strip and bulldozed farmlands.

Soldiers also shot and wounded two fighters of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

The Brigades stated Saturday morning that it fired RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenades) shells at the invading forces and exchanged fire with the army, east of Al Qarara.
