Medical Aid Convoy Makes It Into Gaza

A medical aid convoy sent by the Arabs Physicians Union managed to enter the Gaza Strip on Thursday afternoon via the Rafah Border Terminal between Gaza and Egypt.

The convoy includes medical equipment, incubators, medicine and equipment for treating cancer, diabetes and blood disorders. The equipment
is estimated by 2.5 million USD.

The entry of the convoy and the medical aid was coordinated with Egypt via the Egyptian Red Crescent and will be handed to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

On Monday, February 1, Egypt allowed the transfer of medical aid via the Rafah crossing.

The aid was donated by the United Arab Emirates, and includes five tons of medicine for cancer, kidney and heart diseases.

The aid was transferred by the UAE Red Crescent to its Egyptian counterpart.

The Arab Federation of Doctors also managed to sent an estimated half a ton of medicine.
