author Thursday January 28, 2010 06:49author by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Report post

Israeli sources reported Wednesday that a Palestinian man from Jerusalem was sentenced by the Israeli Central Court in Jerusalem to 10 years and 9 months imprisonment after being “convicted of smuggling Palestinian workers into Israel”, and trying to evade arrests.

The man was identified as Ibrahim Al Faqeeh, 25, from Jerusalem.

The judge said that as the police tried to arrest Faqeeh, he drove away and the police chased him for approximately 40 minutes.

The judge added that this is a serious incident that “requires this type of punishment”.
