author Tuesday January 26, 2010 08:49author by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Report post

A group of fundamentalist settlers uprooted fifteen olive trees, on Sunday evening, that belong to a resident of the Dir Nitham village, near the central West Bank city of Ramallah.

The trees belong to Jamil Abdul-Qader. They are old “Roman” olive trees known for good product and rich olive oil.

The settlers came from the Halmish, an illegal settlement that was built on the lands of Dir Nitham village.

The attack is one of a series carried out by the settlers who are trying to steal the lands from their Palestinian owners, in order to annex them to their settlement.

In several repeated incidents, the settlers uprooted trees and took them to their settlement.
