The parliamentarians visited sites that were heavily bombarded by the Israeli army during the 3-week aggression on Gaza one year ago.

Palestinian Legislator, head of the Popular Committee Against the Siege, Jamal Khodary, stated that the visiting European officials expressed their support to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people living under deadly Israeli siege, and ongoing aggression.

Al Khodary added that the parliamentarians witnessed the patience of the residents after four years of siege, and their steadfast under ongoing aggression and destruction.

“They’ve seen the outcome of the siege and the war”, he stated, “They’ve seen those who became disabled, the wounded, the homeless, and the bloody results of Israel’s war”.

He further stated that the parliamentarians would pressure their governments to act on ending the Israeli siege on more than 1.5 million Palestinians.

The legislators said that they did not come to Gaza just for a casual visit, and that they came to Gaza to act on pressuring the International Community to start the vowed reconstruction.

Before leaving Gaza via the Rafah Terminal, the Popular Committee Against the Siege handed the visiting legislators a book it issued containing details, statistics and pictures regarding Israel’s aggression and siege.

In related news, the Egyptian Authorities prevented Egyptian delegates from entering the Gaza Strip on Saturday.

On Friday, a group of 50 Egyptian supporters attempted to enter the Gaza Strip but were prevented by their own government.

The delegates are legal figures, academics and artists who carried symbolic humanitarian supplies to the residents of Gaza.
