author Tuesday November 17, 2009 07:55author by Saed Bannoura - IMEMC & Agencies Report post

Israeli sources reported that thousands of residents of the Gaza Strip receive daily calls from an Israeli organization offering 10 Million NIS for information on the whereabouts and the conditions of the captured soldier, Gilad Shalit.

Israeli Yedioth Aharonoth reported that the source of the calls is a society calling itself “Born for Freedom”, and that this group believes that poverty in Gaza and the bad living conditions would push the residents to provide Israel information on Shalit.

The group claims receiving hundreds of calls from Gaza residents, and that some of the callers did not have any real information, while others provided information that still needs to be verified.

Head of the organization, Eyal Ben Robin, said that his group believes that it will receive useful information in return to this large sum of cash.

Ben Robin added that he believed the Israeli government and security apparatus are unable to locate Shalit or even receive any info about him.
