Ismail Haniyya, Prime Minister of the Hamas-dominated government in Gaza, stated Thursday that there is no harm, in holding dialogue with the American administration and President Barack Obama.

Haniyya said that the Palestinians want acts not words, and that they are demanding real support to their cause and their anticipated free state with Jerusalem as its capital.

His statements came during a meeting with American physicians in Gaza on Wednesday. He told the visiting delegates that Hamas is with a real and comprehensive peace, peace that ends the occupation and achieves the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

He welcomes the visiting delegates, thanked them for their humanitarian and social services, and said that this visit proves that a significant number of American reject the siege on Gaza.

Haniyya further stated that he believes in democracy and that the Palestinian people are being punished for democratically electing Hamas.

He said that his government was elected by the people, and that it has no issues with the American government.

“We have no problem with the American people, the Americans can create peace and stability everywhere”, Haniyya stated, “Should the Americans make the right move, stability could be achieved all over the world”.
