A Sudanese man flying with EgyptAir flight from Istanbul to Sudan had reportedly threatened the crew with a knife demanding that the plane lands in Jerusalem.

He obtained the knife from an in-flight meal shortly after the plane left Turkish airspace, Israeli daily Haaretz reported.

The flight landed in Egypt and the attacker was apprehended for interrogation. Nobody was harmed in the incident.
