Egypt: “Reconciliation Document For Signing, Not For Negotiations”

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that the Palestinian reconciliation document is ready for signing by Palestinians factions, and that it is not meant for further negotiations and rounds of talks.


Husam Zaki, spokesperson of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that there is no more for talks and further meetings, and that this document came as an outcome of consecutive rounds of talks.

‘The document is now ready for signing, each Palestinian faction needs to made a historic decision and sign it”, Zaki added, “This is for the best interests of the Palestinian people”.

Ayman Taha, one of the political leaders of Hamas movement, told the

Ramattan news agency that Hamas delegates decided to delay their visit to Cairo as the Egyptian Intelligence Chief, Omar Suleiman, is not in Egypt, and that talks are ongoing to set another date.
