Troops shoot, kidnap a child in Beit Lahia

Palestinian medical sources reported Monday that Israeli soldiers shot and kidnapped a Palestinian child west of Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

The sources added that a group of fishermen saw undercover forces opening fire at the child and taking him to an unknown destination.

The wounded child remained unindetifed until the time of this report.

Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that the child is likely 14, and that he could be in a serious condition.
